 Colonnade Challenges Community in Support of The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre
Colonnade has challenged its partners- suppliers, tenants, colleagues and staff- to get involved in The Ottawa Hospital Foundation's 20-20 Campaign, a fundraising initiative to raise $20 million in 20 months for the expansion of The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre.
We are happy to announce we raised a total of $564,000 for the campaign and were named Philanthropic Group of the Year by The Ottawa Hospital Foundation in April 2009. In addition, Colonnade collected donations from its tenants this summer at various barbecues throughout the city, which raised more than $8,000, which will be added to the 20-20 Campaign total.
Thank you to all of those who took part in our initiative. This generous support for The Ottawa Hospital will help to ensure that all those we care about – family, friends, staff – will receive great care when the time comes.

The Cancer Centre cares for more than 21,000 patients each year and performs 80% of cancer surgeries in the region, in addition to providing patients with treatment such as radiation and chemotherapy. Patient volumes are currently exceeding the Centre's resources. An expansion of the Centre is needed to reduce wait times and treat up to 9,000 additional patients per year.
